In our last article, we discussed the relevance of breaking down the tasks in hand once you have set your goals. Specifically with small business marketing tips, it is very important to be open to ideas and suggestions in your business online.

If you are planning to start your own business or if you have already done so – remember this. People have been where you are before. They have made mistakes before. They have learnt lessons from these mistakes. They have documented their errors and the way that they corrected them.

You do not have to learn from your mistakes – It’s a bad piece of advice and it is the quickest way to go broke.

Plus there is no need to follow this strategy now.

Mirror the successful people. Speak to successful people and ask them what they do. I purchased a franchise 8 years ago and still work in this franchise today. I purchased it because it was a model for success. In our training we were told a few simple marketing techniques and we were told not to tinker with the system because the system worked. Those of us who did not tinker were successful, those that tinkered fared less well.

We see it every day in business. Keep an open mind and learn from people who have already been where you are. This will allow you to stand on the shoulders of giants and get off to a great start.

The second aspect of successful implementation of small business marketing strategies is that at some point you will have to dive in and get wet. Marketing is very much a case of trial and error but if you mirror what the successful people have done, you will greatly increase your chances of success in your business.

Very often, people fail to take off the brake and they pursue their business with too much caution and reservation. The either lack faith in themselves or in their product. They do not speak to people who have already done what they are trying to do. They hang around with people who cannot or will not help them and they remain paralysed.

Allow yourself to be successful
