How to Increase Your Quality Score in Google Adwords PPC

Is your Quality Score for your Google Adwords Campaigns often below a 7? If yes the bad news is you are paying an awful lot more than you need to for your clicks – sometimes upto 500% more! Last weekend I had the privilege to hear from and meet Brittany Lynch (Ex-Google) at a Neil Asher Affilionnaire event in Central London.

If you are looking to improve the efficiciency of your google PPC campaigns there are 2 words that you need to constantly keep in mind. These words being Transparency and Relevancy. Without these you will be paying much more for your clicks than you have to and ultimately you may fall victim to the 'Google Slap".

So how do you ensure transparency in your campaigns?

Have the following links on your page:-

1.Your blog

2. Contact Us Page

3. Terms and Conditions

4. Privacy Policy

5. Income Disclaimers (if applicable)

6. About Us

So how do you also ensure relevancy?

1. Use 3 keywords phrases

2. Conduct proper SEO on your site. For example your keywords should be in your Meta Tags, Description, Headings and the first line of your page.

3. Your Ad should also contain your keywords and if your domain does also then that is a good thing too.

4. Regionalise your campaign. For example rather than saying UK say London or Manchester.

5. Use as many negatives as you can. A good way to identify these is to run a Search Query Report in Adwords.  You will be amazed at the search terms for which your ad appears.

If you get this right and your quality score is a 9 or 10 your Google Adwords Campaign will take flight. Google will be happy and so will you.

Good Luck!
